Revelation 21:3–5
I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.” He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He said, “Write, for these words of God are faithful and true.”

Step 2 of 5 · Declare
I Will Hold Today Inside God’s Future
Read this slowly. Let each sentence remain anchored to today’s Scripture.
I will not deny present pain, and I will not treat it as the final word. I place my hope in God’s promised renewal and choose faithfulness within the day I have now.
Step 3 of 5 · Meditate
The Future Hope That Holds Today
Revelation ends the biblical story with new creation: God dwelling with his people and the final defeat of death, mourning, crying, and pain.

Revelation 21 comes after visions of conflict, judgment, perseverance, and evil’s defeat. John then sees a new heaven and new earth and hears the promise of God dwelling with his people.
The passage gives Christian hope its ultimate horizon. Death, mourning, crying, and pain are not described as permanent features of creation. God’s future is renewal.
This is future hope, not a statement that every tear will disappear today. Using Revelation that way would rush past the very grief the promise acknowledges. The vision matters because present suffering is real and because Scripture says it will not have the final word.
As this 30-day cycle closes, let hope become larger than immediate circumstances. You can still seek healing, justice, support, reconciliation, and change now. But your deepest hope does not depend on making this present age carry the weight of final restoration.
God’s promised future allows us to grieve honestly and remain faithful today.
Step 4 of 5 · Pray
Pray in response
God, thank you for a hope larger than the present moment. You see every tear, death, injustice, and pain that still marks this world. Keep me from denial and despair. Anchor me in your promised renewal, and show me how to live faithfully, compassionately, and courageously today while I wait. Amen.
Step 5 of 5 · Reflect
Reflect with honesty
What brokenness are you most longing to see made new?
How does Revelation 21 allow you to grieve without treating grief as the final word?
What faithful action belongs to today while final restoration remains future?
