Step 2 of 5 · Declare
I Will Practise Remembering
Read this slowly. Let each sentence remain anchored to today’s Scripture.
I will make room to remember God’s loving kindness and faithfulness. Gratitude will not deny what is difficult; it will help me notice grace within the day I have been given.
Step 3 of 5 · Meditate
Morning Mercy, Evening Faithfulness
Psalm 92 gives gratitude a daily rhythm: God’s loving kindness can be remembered in the morning and his faithfulness named again at night.

Psalm 92 is identified as a song for the Sabbath day. Its opening does not tell us to ignore hardship. The rest of the psalm reflects on God’s works, justice, and enduring faithfulness.
The first two verses give thanksgiving a rhythm that stretches across the day. Morning and night become opportunities to remember who God is. Gratitude here is not forced positivity. It is deliberate attention.
Some days give us obvious reasons to rejoice. Other days feel ordinary, tiring, or unfinished. Gratitude can still help us notice gifts we might otherwise pass over: breath, food, friendship, a needed conversation, strength to endure, or mercy that met us quietly.
Try a simple practice today. In the morning, name one expression of God’s loving kindness. At night, name one place where you saw or needed his faithfulness. You do not have to manufacture a feeling. Begin by paying attention.
Step 4 of 5 · Pray
Pray in response
Most High God, teach me to notice your goodness with honesty. Thank you for the gifts I easily overlook and for faithfulness that does not depend on my mood. Keep gratitude from becoming denial. Help me carry both joy and difficulty truthfully before you, and let remembrance shape my worship today. Amen.
Step 5 of 5 · Reflect
Reflect with honesty
What is one gift or mercy you can name from this morning?
What difficulty do you still need to acknowledge honestly?
Return tonight and name one place where you needed or noticed God’s faithfulness.
