Then Job answered,

“How long will you torment me,

WEB: 3WEB

You have reproached me ten times.

WEB: 4WEB

If it is true that I have erred,

WEB: 5WEB

If indeed you will magnify yourselves against me,

WEB: 6WEB

know now that God has subverted me,

WEB: 7WEB

“Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard.

WEB: 8WEB

He has walled up my way so that I can’t pass,

WEB: 9WEB

He has stripped me of my glory,

WEB: 10WEB

He has broken me down on every side, and I am gone.

WEB: 11WEB

He has also kindled his wrath against me.

WEB: 12WEB

His troops come on together,

WEB: 13WEB

“He has put my brothers far from me.

WEB: 14WEB

My relatives have gone away.

WEB: 15WEB

Those who dwell in my house and my maids consider me a stranger.

WEB: 16WEB

I call to my servant, and he gives me no answer.

WEB: 17WEB

My breath is offensive to my wife.

WEB: 18WEB

Even young children despise me.

WEB: 19WEB

All my familiar friends abhor me.

WEB: 20WEB

My bones stick to my skin and to my flesh.

WEB: 21WEB

“Have pity on me. Have pity on me, you my friends,

WEB: 22WEB

Why do you persecute me as God,

WEB: 23WEB

“Oh that my words were now written!

WEB: 24WEB

That with an iron pen and lead

WEB: 25WEB

But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives.

WEB: 26WEB

After my skin is destroyed,

WEB: 27WEB

whom I, even I, will see on my side.

WEB: 28WEB

If you say, ‘How we will persecute him!’

WEB: 29WEB

be afraid of the sword,
