“Man, who is born of a woman,

WEB: 2WEB

He grows up like a flower, and is cut down.

WEB: 3WEB

Do you open your eyes on such a one,

WEB: 4WEB

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean?

WEB: 5WEB

Seeing his days are determined,

WEB: 6WEB

Look away from him, that he may rest,

WEB: 7WEB

“For there is hope for a tree if it is cut down,

WEB: 8WEB

Though its root grows old in the earth,

WEB: 9WEB

yet through the scent of water it will bud,

WEB: 10WEB

But man dies, and is laid low.

WEB: 11WEB

As the waters fail from the sea,

WEB: 12WEB

so man lies down and doesn’t rise.

WEB: 13WEB

“Oh that you would hide me in Sheol,

WEB: 14WEB

If a man dies, will he live again?

WEB: 15WEB

You would call, and I would answer you.

WEB: 16WEB

But now you count my steps.

My disobedience is sealed up in a bag.

“But the mountain falling comes to nothing.

The waters wear the stones.

You forever prevail against him, and he departs.

His sons come to honor, and he doesn’t know it.

But his flesh on him has pain,
