Isaiah 34

Come near, you nations, to hear!

For Yahweh is enraged against all the nations,

Their slain will also be cast out,

All of the army of the sky will be dissolved.

For my sword has drunk its fill in the sky.

Yahweh’s sword is filled with blood.

The wild oxen will come down with them,

For Yahweh has a day of vengeance,

Its streams will be turned into pitch,

It won’t be quenched night or day.

But the pelican and the porcupine will possess it.

They shall call its nobles to the kingdom, but none shall be there;

Thorns will come up in its palaces,

The wild animals of the desert will meet with the wolves,

The arrow snake will make her nest there,

Search in the book of Yahweh, and read:
